Trade mission to The Netherlands for the Russian Meat Processing sector

From November, 8^th till 11^th, the Dutch NCH organized, together with Meattech and Lighthouse, a successful trade mission to the Netherlands for the Russian Meat Processing sector. A delegation of ten Russian companies participated in the mission. Among them were pig production complexes, meat processing plants, wholesalers and importers of cooled and frozen meat and meat sub products, and also a representative of the Russian interest group National Meat Association. In the Netherlands the delegation participated in collective visits to Dutch meat processing companies, matchmaking and joined a meeting of Meattech. All participants, Russian and Dutch, were very satisfied about the established business contacts made during this mission.

Brazilian trade mission to Russia

November 1^th and 2^nd Apex-Brasil (Trade promotion agency for Brazilian exports) and a delegation of companies visited Russia for a trade mission "Brasil Tech 2011 - Brazilian Technology for Russia". This event was completely organized by Lighthouse. The objective of the event was to promote the Brazilian technology in Russia and also increase the exports of Brazilian companies.

Dutch Trade mission to Russia headed by Prime Minister Mark Rutte

During October 19^th till October 21^st, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte visited Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a large group of Dutch businesspeople focused on energy, airport infrastructure, health care and medical technologies. For each sector different seminars were organized, as well as matchmaking events between Dutch and Russian business people. The mission was a great success.

Trade mission to Moscow and St. Petersburg November 2011

The Chamber of Commerce Noord-Nederland and Lighthouse are organising a trade mission from November 13^th till November 18^th to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Each participant will meet a number of potential business partners and clients, based on the company profile and specific wishes. Participation costs EUR 850 (excl. Trade mission to the Netherlands for Russian companies in the meat processing sector

The trade mission of the representatives of the Russian meat processing sector to the Netherlands will take place from the 8^th of November until the 11^th of November 2011. The purpose of the trade mission is to introduce the Dutch meat processing sector, the latest technologies and equipment in the area of meat processing to Russian companies. The program of the mission will consist of a seminar about the Dutch meat processing industry, collective visits and individual meetings. Individual wishes can be taken into account for the program. The participation in the mission is free for Russian participants. Only the travel, accommodation and visa costs have to be paid by the participant.

Preliminary program:

• Tuesday November 8^th: You will travel from Moscow to Amsterdam/Dusseldorf. After arrival, there will be a participants briefing about the program of the mission. In the evening there will be a welcome drink with a tasting of delicacies of Dutch butchers.
• Wednesday November 9^th: The day starts with a seminar about the Dutch meat processing sector organised by Meattech and Lighthouse. After the presentation there will be an open discussion and an opportunity to ask questions to the Meattech and Lighthouse teams. The matchmaking event will take up most of the day. You will be brought into contact with local companies in the Dutch meat processing sector.
• Thursday November 10^th: On Thursday collective visits to Dutch meat processing companies will take place. There is also the possibility to go on individual visits. In the evening either a network dinner or network drinks will be organised for the delegation.
• Friday November 11^th: On Friday there is a possibility to have follow-up meetings from the matchmaking event of Wednesday. There is also a possibility to go on some additional company visits. In the afternoon the delegation will fly back to Russia.

Individual wishes can be taken into account for the program.

Presentation of the PSOM project "Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings" in the Netherlands

On the 30th of September 2011 NL EVD Internationaal in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment will organize a presentation of the investment project ‘Energy efficiency in Public Buildings in the Russian Federation'.

During the presentation the consortium that has executed the project will present the results of the project. The project was co-financed by the environment section of the Program Cooperation Eastern Europe (PSO). The goal of the two-year project was to make a public school in Mokshino, Tver region of the Russian Federation energy efficient. The experience and knowledge that has been gathered during the project could be applied to similar projects in other Eastern European countries.

Lighthouse is the project manager of this project. Lighthouse director Mr. Jeroen Ketting will give a presentation on the results of the project and the potential of Energy Efficiency projects in the Built Environment in Russia: " Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment in Russia: Concrete Solutions & Lessons Learned from the Mokshino project". Round tabel conference “Practical Solutions to Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment”

Energy Efficiency in Russia is a difficult puzzle. The potential is enormous, but the barriers to further Energy Efficiency improvements in Russia easily match the potential.

The Round Table "Practical Solutions to Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment" organised by Lighthouse Russia and the AEB Energy Efficiency Committee will provide the audience with the tools to identify, plan and execute Energy Efficiency projects in the built environment in Russia.

The event will be moderated by Jeroen Ketting, General Director at Lighthouse Russia BV, and will take place on June 28, 2011 in Moscow.

Presentation Energy Energy Saving and Efficiency 2011 April 12th

Jeroen Ketting will give a presentation at the Moscow Times Conference: Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency 2011. The conference takes place on April 12th in Moscow, Marriott Royal Aurora, 11/20 Petrovka st. The aim of the conference is to discuss a wide range of issues on energy saving and energy efficiency in various economic sectors, including environmental issues. Mechanisms for financing and implementing energy efficiency projects will also be considered, along with programs to improve energy efficiency and the problems inherent in using energy resources efficiently.

Successful trade mission to Kazan and Samara

Last week Lighthouse arranged individual meetings for more than 20 companies in the framework of a Dutch Economic Mission to Kazan and Samara. The Mission was headed by the Deputy Director-General for Foreign Economic Relations of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The companies that participated are active in various sectors including water treatment, high performance textile fabrics, medical technology, general safety and fire safety systems, building equipment, engineering, logistics, industrial building and banking.

Multi-sectoral trade mission to Kazan and Samara, 3-8 October

Registration for the trade mission on EE to Moscow and Yekaterinburg in June 2010

Lighthouse and the Chamber of Commerce Northwest Holland are organizing a trade mission to Moscow and Yekaterinburg for companies and organizations active in the energy efficiency sector. This mission will take place from 14 to 18 June 2010. The preliminary program is as follows:

Monday 14 June
Flight to Moscow
Briefing (evening):

1. Presentation on doing business in Russia.
2. Participants meet the Lighthouse team.

Tuesday 15 June
Morning: Visit to the Moscow city administration.
Afternoon: Individual meetings with selected Russian counterparts.
Evening: Network reception in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy.

Wednesday 16 June
Morning: Individual meetings with selected Russian counterparts.
Afternoon: Flight to Yekaterinburg.

Thursday 17 June
Morning: Visit to the Yekaterinburg city administration.
Afternoon: Individual meetings with selected Russian counterparts.
Evening: Network reception in cooperation with the NBSO.

Friday 18 June
Return to the Netherlands.

Why participate?

1. Six to ten individual meetings with companies that want to do business with you.

Luxembourg Trade Mission

A Luxembourg Trade and Economic Mission headed by His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Crown Prince of Nassau Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie will visit Moscow and St. Petersburg from 11 to 15 April. A total of 24 Luxembourg companies active in finance, insurance, development and architectural design will participate in the mission.

The mission is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg and the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Russia. Lighthouse was contracted as the local partner to organize the meeting between the participating companies and their Russian counterparts.

New Year's reception and EE workshop, 27 January 2010 in Rotterdam

Lighthouse, in cooperation with the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH), the Central and Eastern European Trade Club (COETC), the Chamber of Commerce Rotterdam and Russia Travel, organizes a New Year's reception in Rotterdam on 27 January 2010. During this reception, Jeroen Ketting of Lighthouse will look back at the year 2009 for Russia and the outlook for 2010. Also, Alexander Münninghoff will address the cultural and political outlook for 2010.

Lighthouse secures two projects in the field of Energy Efficiency

This week, Lighthouse signed two contracts with the EVD, the Agency for International Business and Cooperation of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The first project is entitled 'Energy Efficiency in Publicly Financed Buildings in the Russian Federation' and is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment.

The second project concerns a trade mission of Dutch companies active in the field of Energy Efficiency in the built-up area to Moscow and Yekaterinburg. The organisation of this mission is financed by the EVD through the programme CPA (Collective Promotional Activities).

Dutch government regulations for Trust offices require that providers of Trust services check and verify the identity of their (potential) relations and their ultimate beneficiaries. Lighthouse, in cooperation with Confiad (a compliancy consultancy firm for Trust offices), offers assistance to Dutch Trust offices to obtain, evaluate and interpret information on Russian relations. Successful trade mission led by the Dutch Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management Camiel Eurlings to Moscow and St. Petersburg

Last week, the Dutch Minister of Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management Camiel Eurlings visited Moscow and St. Petersburg with a trade delegation of around 60 Dutch companies active in the sectors of infrastructure, transport and logistics and maritime. Lighthouse was contracted by the EVD to organize the matchmaking for 30 participating companies from the transport, logistics and infrastructure sectors.
The program consisted of individual meetings with Russian companies, as well as collective meetings at the Domodedovo airport in Moscow and the Port of St. Petersburg. The trade mission was very successful with many participants returning to the Netherlands with an order, a request for an offer or a number of potential distributors.

Trade mission to Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, 29 September – 3 October 2008

Lighthouse has been contracted by the EVD to organize a multi-sectoral trade mission to Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, headed by the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade Frank Heemskerk. Dutch companies from all sectors can participate in the mission, yet the mission has a special focus on the sectors automotive, energy efficiency and the creative industry.
The programme of the mission consists of two days of individual matchmaking with potential Russian business partners in both Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. Apart from this, the programme includes collective events such as trade dinners and networking receptions.

Lighthouse, in co-operation with the Chamber of Commerce for the Southern Netherlands, is organizing individual consults for companies that are interested in doing business in Russia.
